Digital Learning – What Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) should students use?
We do not recommend one specific device, however we do provide our best advice as to a set of device minimum specifications.
Suggested device specifications for students in general studies:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro are preferred, but "Windows 10 S" does not work within EQ), or Apple OSX 10.9 (or later)
Processor: Intel Core i3 1.7 GHz 64-bit capable
Installed Memory (RAM): 8GB

256GB SSD Hard Drive
Battery Life 4 hours plus
For your convenience HP have set up a Web portal for our school with several Laptops options for Parents to look at. Toogoolawah State High School have no affiliations with HP, nor do we suggest that HP is the only option for Buying laptops. There are many good deals to be had at the retail stores and other on-line sellers.

Microsoft Office for Students (It's free!)
The Queensland Department of Education have secured a deal so that Microsoft Office 365 for Students is available to install at home on up to five devices for free.

To install the Microsoft Office applications on an iPad or Android device just go to the App Store on your device and search for the desired Microsoft Application and install it. e.g. search for Microsoft Word, then select the install option.
